The California Space Education & Workforce Institute (CSEWI) is a 501(c)(3) organization that works closely with its parent organization, the California Space Authority (CSA). CSEWI’s mission is to inspire parents, educators, and students to engage in California-based space-related education and to attract, integrate and retain a robust California space workforce.

•STEM Inventory
Make sure your science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) program is in our inventory! CSEWI is creating an inventory of STEM programs occurring within California and nationwide.


•Aerospace Community Development Program
CSEWI will be offering several exciting opportunities for aerospace professionals to help attract young people to careers in aerospace via “aerospace community development” activities. Click on the above link for more information.

•NSPWG
Comprised of space professionals with less than ten years experience, the NSPWG was formed in support of the California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan, which addresses threats and opportunities to California’s space enterprise community. The NSPWG represents, with the California Space Authority, the perspective of new space professionals. Participants represent all space enterprise sectors (civil, commercial and national security). The NSPWG is also intended to serve as a source of opportunities for students and young professionals to enhance their career development.

•NASA Centennial Challenge
Selected to serve as an Allied Organization by the NASA Centennial Challenges Program, the CSEWI administers the Regolith Excavation Challenge and the MoonRox Challenge.

•Aerospace University-Industry Consortium
To improve the partnership between aerospace industry and universities in the California Innovation Corridor.
