One of the most frequently asked questions in the world is if we are actually alone in the universe. Some believe that UFOs and aliens are relatively insane to think about – whereas others believe that it is ignorant to not believe in life outside of Earth. With that being said, there are a numerous amount of people in the world who have had their own encounters with unidentified flying objects – some of which aren’t even explainable by law enforcement officials. Below is a few of the most famous UFO sightings.

Roswell, 1947

As one of the most (if not the most) popular UFO experience in the history of mankind, the Roswell incident has been the focus of pop culture for a numerous amount of years. UFO enthusiasts claim that the United States government captured an aircraft that once belonged to aliens and are currently keeping it in a secret bunker. The interesting aspect is that the military denies the allegations of any alien craft and has publicly said that it was a surveillance drone. With that being said, there are many UFO believers who still believe that they are hiding a UFO in their bunker.

Kenneth Arnold, 1947

Another incredibly popular account of an alien encounter was the one given by Kenneth Arnold. This case is where the term “Flying Saucer” was coined. This American business man had claimed that he saw approximately 9 different saucer-shaped objects flying together in Washington near Mount Rainier.

Washington D.C., 1952

There were numerous accounts of UFOs appearing in the skies above Washington D.C. which eventually led to the creation of the CIA Robertson Panel. These disturbances were later backed up by different contacts on 3 separate radars from airports across the state. Though, the United States Air Force denied any UFO association, they claimed that the temperature is what caused the radars to malfunction.

Barney and Betty Hill, 1961

This married couple were two of the first people to go public with the fact that they had potentially been kidnapped/abducted by aliens. It is said that they were driving home from Niagara Falls and decided to follow a flying saucer that they had seen in the sky. They were then abducted and were physically examined by the extraterrestrials. The most interesting part of the story is once they had sought a psychiatrist for hypnosis, they were able to provide a 3D rendering of a star map and their story was still maintained.
